A presentation of the company

S. Djärv Hantverk AB is a familybusiness specialising in making handforged tools for woodcarving.
We make a limited series of about 4000 tools each year. The tools are delivered sharpened, honed and shafted, knifeblades are sharpened. They are made from high quality tool steel, especially designed for toolmaking, and heat treated several times, with the highest quality as standard.
The handles are made from hard swedish leaf.

Over the years we have developed a functional assortment of tools to choose from with the main focus on tradition.
We make spooncarving knives, carving knives, adzes, axes and drawknives, tools for woodturning, sculpturing and hollowing, as well as a special range for children.
All our tools are developed in cooperation with experienced craftsman.

The blacksmith with co-workers!

Svante is the blacksmith in the company. He forges and grinds all of the tools we sell and everything  is done with great feeling and engagement. He is, of course, an important collaborator in our company  too, not least for his deep
knowledge about
heating the steel.

Elsa is married to Svante. She looks after the administrative and planning side of the business and sees to that you get the tools you have ordered. She also make all the tool handles and prepares the steel before forging.
